Therefore, since we have this ministry, just as God has shown us mercy, ¹  we do not become discouraged. ² 

so then, understand ¹  that those who believe are the sons of Abraham. ² 

And these also must be tested first and then let them serve as deacons if they are found blameless.

And these all were commended ¹  for their faith, yet they did not receive what was promised. ² 

Do not neglect hospitality, because through it some have entertained angels without knowing it. ¹ 

Such ¹  wisdom does not come ²  from above but is earthly, natural, ³  demonic.

For ¹  this is the gospel ²  message ³  that you have heard from the beginning: that we should love one another, ⁴ 

These people are divisive, ¹  worldly, ²  devoid of the Spirit. ³ 

Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the scriptures: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. ¹  This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? ² 

“Now my soul is greatly distressed. And what should I say? ‘Father, deliver me ¹  from this hour’? ²  No, but for this very reason I have come to this hour. ³ 

She followed behind Paul and us and kept crying out, ¹  “These men are servants ²  of the Most High God, who are proclaiming to you the way ³  of salvation.” ⁴ 

(Now this is love: that we walk ¹  according to his commandments.) This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning; thus ²  you should walk in it. ³ 

And you will be hated by everyone because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

All the crowds were amazed and said, “Could this one be the Son of David?”

‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart ¹  is far from me,

As he entered Jerusalem the whole city was thrown into an uproar, ¹  saying, “Who is this?”

And the crowds were saying, “This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth ¹  in Galilee.”

So also you, when you see all these things, know ¹  that he is near, right at the door.

I tell you the truth, ¹  this generation ²  will not pass away until all these things take place.

When ¹  she poured this oil on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.
