When Moses finished writing on a scroll the words of this law in their entirety,

When all the men ¹  had been circumcised, they stayed there in the camp until they had healed.

Joshua kept holding out his curved sword until Israel had annihilated all who lived in Ai. ¹ 

Then all the people returned to their homes, and David went to pronounce a blessing on his family. ¹ 

So we rebuilt the wall, and the entire wall was joined together up to half its height. ¹  The people were enthusiastic in their work. ² 

he digs a pit ¹  and then falls into the hole he has made. ² 

After Jesus ¹  had finished teaching all this to the people, ²  he entered Capernaum. ³ 

“I have come ¹  to bring ²  fire on the earth – and how I wish it were already kindled!

And by being perfected in this way, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him,

For God had provided something better for us, so that they would be made perfect together with us. ¹ 

And ¹  yearn ²  like newborn infants for pure, spiritual milk, ³  so that by it you may grow up to ⁴  salvation, ⁵ 

“‘All the days of the vow ¹  of his separation no razor may be used on his head ²  until the time ³  is fulfilled for which he separated himself to the Lord. He will be holy, ⁴  and he must let ⁵  the locks of hair on his head grow long.

At the end of the twelve months that were required for the women, ¹  when the turn of each young woman arrived to go to King Ahasuerus – for in this way they had to fulfill their time of cosmetic treatment: six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with perfume and various ointments used by women –

“‘You must count for yourselves seven weeks from the day after the Sabbath, from the day you bring the wave offering sheaf; they must be complete weeks. ¹ 

When they finished dividing the land into its regions, the Israelites gave Joshua son of Nun some land. ¹ 

You have not abandoned your fellow Israelites ¹  this entire time, ²  right up to this very day. You have completed the task given you by the Lord your God. ³ 

That day Joshua drew up an agreement ¹  for the people, and he established rules and regulations ²  for them in Shechem.

Ruth the Moabite replied, “He even ¹  told me, ‘You may go along beside my servants ²  until they have finished gathering all my harvest!’” ³ 

When David finished offering the burnt sacrifices and peace offerings, he pronounced a blessing over the people in the name of the Lord of hosts.

They went through all the land and after nine months and twenty days came back to Jerusalem. ¹
