Righteous Father, even if the world does not know you, I know you, and these men ¹  know that you sent me.

So Saul got up from the ground, but although his eyes were open, ¹  he could see nothing. ²  Leading him by the hand, his companions ³  brought him into Damascus.

But now ¹  apart from the law the righteousness of God (which is attested by the law and the prophets) ²  has been disclosed –

But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, but ¹  the Spirit is your life ²  because of righteousness.

But what if God, willing to demonstrate his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience the objects ¹  of wrath ²  prepared for destruction? ³ 

If after all there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords),

The man and his wife were both naked, ¹  but they were not ashamed. ² 

I am blameless. ¹  I do not know myself. ²  I despise my life.

Although ¹  he is scornful to arrogant scoffers, ²  yet ³  he shows favor to the humble. ⁴ 

It will not be like the old ¹  covenant that I made with their ancestors ²  when I delivered them ³  from Egypt. For they violated that covenant, even though I was like a faithful husband to them,” ⁴  says the Lord. ⁵ 

Though he causes us ¹  grief, he then has compassion on us ²  according to the abundance of his loyal kindness. ³ 

Although Ephraim has built many altars for sin offerings, these have become altars for sinning!

(For Jesus himself had testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.) ¹ 

But I told you ¹  that you have seen me ²  and still do not believe.

(Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.) ¹ 

We are Jews by birth ¹  and not Gentile sinners, ² 

And although you were ¹  dead ²  in your transgressions and sins,

For he was still in his ancestor Abraham’s loins ¹  when Melchizedek met him.

You have condemned and murdered the righteous person, although he does not resist you. ¹ 

Israel stretched out his right hand and placed it on Ephraim’s head, although he was the younger. ¹  Crossing his hands, he put his left hand on Manasseh’s head, for Manasseh was the firstborn.
