May you demonstrate wholehearted devotion to the Lord our God ¹  by following ²  his rules and obeying ³  his commandments, as you are presently doing.” ⁴ 

He did evil in the sight of ¹  the Lord; he followed in Jeroboam’s footsteps and encouraged Israel to sin. ² 

While the king of Israel was passing by on the city wall, a woman shouted to him, “Help us, my master, O king!”

Which is easier, ¹  to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Stand up, take your stretcher, and walk’?

Jesus ¹  was going through the grain fields on a Sabbath, and his disciples began to pick some heads of wheat ²  as they made their way.

For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified to your truth, just as you are living according to the truth. ¹ 

Then the daughter of Pharaoh ¹  came down to wash herself ²  by the Nile, while her attendants were walking alongside the river, ³  and she saw the basket among the reeds. She sent one of her attendants, ⁴  took it, ⁵ 

For if you carefully observe all of these commandments ¹  I am giving you ²  and love the Lord your God, live according to his standards, ³  and remain loyal to him,

Teach them to your children and speak of them as you sit in your house, as you walk along the road, ¹  as you lie down, and as you get up.

When the king heard what the woman said, he tore his clothes. As he was passing by on the wall, the people could see he was wearing sackcloth under his clothes. ¹ 

The Lord says, “The women ¹  of Zion are proud. They walk with their heads high ²  and flirt with their eyes. They skip along ³  and the jewelry on their ankles jingles. ⁴
