“The ¹  tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. ²  It is to be a holy assembly for you, and you must humble yourselves ³  and present a gift to the Lord.

It is a Sabbath of complete rest for you, and you must humble yourselves on the ninth day of the month in the evening, from evening until evening you must observe your Sabbath.” ¹ 

“‘On the tenth day of this seventh month you are to have a holy assembly. You must humble yourselves; ¹  you must not do any work on it.

Yes, as your judgments unfold, ¹  O Lord, we wait for you. We desire your fame and reputation to grow. ² 

Her officials are like wolves in her midst rending their prey – shedding blood and destroying lives – so they can get dishonest profit.

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, sure and steadfast, which reaches inside behind the curtain, ¹ 

But we are not among those who shrink back and thus perish, but are among those who have faith and preserve their souls. ¹ 

He spares a person’s life from corruption, ¹  his very life from crossing over ²  the river.

He ¹  draws near to the place of corruption, and his life to the messengers of death. ² 

by saving their lives from death ¹  and sustaining them during times of famine. ² 

We ¹  wait for the Lord; he is our deliverer ²  and shield. ³ 

Sinful rebels are totally destroyed; ¹  evil men have no future. ² 

For we lie in the dirt, with our bellies pressed to the ground. ¹ 

(the ransom price for a human life ¹  is too high, and people go to their final destiny), ² 

The godly bask in the light; the morally upright experience joy. ¹ 

They were hungry and thirsty; they fainted from exhaustion. ¹ 

in Nebuchadnezzar’s eighteenth year, ¹  832 people from Jerusalem;

ר (Resh) O Lord, ¹  you championed ²  my cause, ³  you redeemed my life.

For I see that you are bitterly envious ¹  and in bondage to sin.”

And the disciples were filled with joy ¹  and with the Holy Spirit.
