Moreover, ¹  the open field areas of their cities ²  must not be sold, because that is their perpetual possession.

“So the total of the towns you will give the Levites is forty-eight. You must give these together with their grazing lands.

The rest of the Kohathite clans received ten cities and their grazing areas.

Lambs ¹  will graze as if in their pastures, amid the ruins the rich sojourners will graze. ²

They lived in Gilead, in Bashan and its surrounding settlements, and in the pasturelands of Sharon to their very borders. ¹ 

And ¹  you will know ²  that your home ³  will be secure, ⁴  and when you inspect ⁵  your domains, you will not be missing ⁶  anything.

For he is our God; we are the people of his pasture, the sheep he owns. ¹  Today, if only you would obey him! ² 

He covers ¹  the sky with clouds, provides the earth with rain, and causes grass to grow on the hillsides. ²

He shouts a battle cry ¹  against the sea ²  and makes it dry up; ³  he makes all the rivers ⁴  run dry. Bashan and Carmel wither; ⁵  the blossom of Lebanon withers.
