Then King Belshazzar was very terrified, and he was visibly shaken. ¹  His nobles were completely dumbfounded.

And in that very night Belshazzar, the Babylonian king, ¹  was killed. ² 

But when the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he was very rich. ¹ 

Immediately Jesus ¹  sent the man ²  away with a very strong warning.

He took Peter, James, ¹  and John with him, and became very troubled and distressed.

But when the man ¹  heard this he became very sad, ²  for he was extremely wealthy.

He answered, ¹  “I tell you, if they ²  keep silent, the very stones ³  will cry out!”

and said to Jesus, ¹  “Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of adultery.

But until this very day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their minds, ¹ 

Therefore be very careful how you live – not as unwise but as wise,

I have sent ¹  him (who is my very heart) ²  back to you.

I especially ask you to pray ¹  that I may be restored to you very soon.

For this very reason, ¹  make every effort ²  to add to your faith excellence, ³  to excellence, knowledge;

Joshua also set up twelve stones ¹  in the middle of the Jordan in the very place where the priests carrying the ark of the covenant stood. They remain there to this very day.

Then they erected over him a large pile of stones (it remains to this very day ¹ ) and the Lord’s anger subsided. So that place is called the Valley of Disaster to this very day.

But Barzillai was very old – eighty years old, in fact – and he had taken care of the king when he stayed in Mahanaim, for he was a very rich ¹  man.

David said to Gad, “I am very upset! I prefer to be attacked by the Lord, for his mercy is very great; I do not want to be attacked by men!” ¹ 

Who acts and carries out decrees? ¹  Who ²  summons the successive generations from the beginning? I, the Lord, am present at the very beginning, and at the very end – I am the one. ³ 

One basket had very good-looking figs in it. They looked like those that had ripened early. ¹  The other basket had very bad-looking figs in it, so bad they could not be eaten.

The Lord said to me, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” I answered, “I see figs. The good ones look very good. But the bad ones look very bad, so bad that they cannot be eaten.”
