Pursue peace with everyone, and holiness, ¹  for without it no one will see the Lord.

You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.

and they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.

“See that you do not disdain one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven. ¹ 

Then ¹  he said to the disciples, “The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days ²  of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.

When ¹  Herod saw Jesus, he was very glad, for he had long desired to see him, because he had heard about him and was hoping to see him perform ²  some miraculous sign. ³ 

But we do not know how he is now able to see, nor do we know who caused him to see. ¹  Ask him, he is a mature adult. ²  He will speak for himself.”

Jesus ¹  said,] ²  “For judgment I have come into this world, so that those who do not see may gain their sight, ³  and the ones who see may become blind.”

For now we see in a mirror indirectly, ¹  but then we will see face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known.

And their eyes were opened. Then Jesus sternly warned them, “See that no one knows about this.”

What did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more ¹  than a prophet.

So also you, when you see all these things, know ¹  that he is near, right at the door.

so ¹  I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’

But the rest said, “Leave him alone! Let’s see if Elijah will come to save him.” ¹ 

They watched ¹  Jesus ²  closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath, ³  so that they could accuse him.

His disciples said to him, “You see the crowd pressing against you and you say, ‘Who touched me?’”

Then everyone ¹  will see the Son of Man arriving in the clouds ²  with great power and glory.

So also you, when you see these things happening, know ¹  that he is near, right at the door.

So Pilate asked him again, ¹  “Have you nothing to say? See how many charges they are bringing against you!”

What did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more ¹  than a prophet.
