so it would be a lowly kingdom which could not rise on its own but must keep its treaty with him in order to stand.

His forces ¹  will rise up and profane the fortified sanctuary, ²  stopping the daily sacrifice. In its place they will set up ³  the abomination that causes desolation.

But for you who respect my name, the sun of vindication ¹  will rise with healing wings, ²  and you will skip about ³  like calves released from the stall.

“Brother ¹  will hand over brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rise against ²  parents and have them put to death.
