Why do you brag about your great power? Your power is ebbing away, ¹  you rebellious people of Ammon, ²  who trust in your riches and say, ‘Who would dare to attack us?’

Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “It is not within my power, ¹  but God will speak concerning ²  the welfare of Pharaoh.” ³ 

Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might and the beginning of my strength, outstanding in dignity, outstanding in power.

Your right hand, O Lord, was majestic ¹  in power, your right hand, O Lord, shattered the enemy.

So now we are in your power. ¹  Do to us what you think is good and appropriate. ²

Have any of the gods of the nations actually rescued his land from the power of the king of Assyria? ¹ 

Jeroboam did not regain power during the reign of Abijah. ¹  The Lord struck him down and he died.

Abijah’s power grew; he had ¹  fourteen wives and fathered twenty-two sons and sixteen daughters.

The Ammonites paid tribute to Uzziah and his fame reached ¹  the border of Egypt, for he grew in power.

So the Lord said to Satan, “All right, ¹  he is ²  in your power; ³  only preserve ⁴  his life.”

Is ¹  not my power to help myself nothing, and has not every resource ²  been driven from me?

Or ‘Deliver me ¹  from the enemy’s power, ²  and from the hand of tyrants ³  ransom ⁴  me’?

If I lift myself up, ¹  you hunt me as a fierce lion, ²  and again ³  you display your power ⁴  against me.

By his power he stills ¹  the sea; by his wisdom he cut Rahab the great sea monster ²  to pieces. ³ 

A psalm of David. Acknowledge the Lord, you heavenly beings, ²  acknowledge the Lord’s majesty and power! ³ 

You determine my destiny! ¹  Rescue me from the power of my enemies and those who chase me.
