After the men had left, Ahimaaz and Jonathan ¹  climbed out of the well. Then they left and informed King David. They advised David, “Get up and cross the stream ²  quickly, for Ahithophel has devised a plan to catch you.” ³ 

He set up the pillars in front of the temple, one on the right side and the other on the left. ¹  He named the one on the right Jachin, ²  and the one on the left Boaz. ³ 

“Listen to me, O family of Jacob, ¹  all you who are left from the family of Israel, ²  you who have been carried from birth, ³  you who have been supported from the time you left the womb. ⁴ 

The sovereign Lord says this: “The city that marches out with a thousand soldiers ¹  will have only a hundred left; the town ²  that marches out with a hundred soldiers ³  will have only ten left for the family of Israel.” ⁴ 

They also took Abram’s nephew ¹  Lot and his possessions when ²  they left, for Lot ³  was living in Sodom. ⁴ 

He left ¹  with all he owned. He quickly crossed ²  the Euphrates River ³  and headed for ⁴  the hill country of Gilead.

They killed Hamor and his son Shechem with the sword, took Dinah from Shechem’s house, and left.

When she saw that he had left his outer garment in her hand and had run outside,

When he heard me raise ¹  my voice and scream, he left his outer garment beside me and ran outside.”

The priest will then take some of the log of olive oil and pour it into his own left hand. ¹ 

They left and went up to the hill country, coming to the Eshcol Valley, ¹  which they scouted out.

Be careful, therefore, to do exactly what the Lord your God has commanded you; do not turn right or left!

Then Joshua executed them ¹  and hung them on five trees. They were left hanging on the trees until evening.

So I will no longer remove before them any of the nations that Joshua left unconquered when he died.

When they left ¹  Egypt, Israel traveled ²  through the desert as far as the Red Sea and then came to Kadesh.

Sometime later ¹  Naomi’s husband Elimelech died, so she and her two sons were left alone.

Then Jonathan son of Saul left and went to David at Horesh. He encouraged him ¹  through God.

So David left and crossed over to King Achish son of Maoch of Gath accompanied by his six hundred men.

She brought it to Saul and his servants, and they ate. Then they arose and left that same night.

Solomon left all these items unweighed; there were so many of them they did not weigh the bronze. ¹
