Then ¹  someone from the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell ²  my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”

After ¹  he had destroyed ²  seven nations ³  in the land of Canaan, he gave his people their land as an inheritance. ⁴ 

giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share ¹  in the saints’ ²  inheritance in the light.

because you know that you will receive your ¹  inheritance ²  from the Lord as the reward. Serve ³  the Lord Christ.

In this way the inheritance of the Israelites will not be transferred ¹  from tribe to tribe. But every one of the Israelites must retain the ancestral heritage.

They were married into the families of the Manassehites, the descendants of Joseph, and their inheritance remained in the tribe of their father’s family.

As for the Levites in your villages, you must not ignore them, for they have no allotment or inheritance along with you.

However, there should not be any poor among you, for the Lord ¹  will surely bless ²  you in the land that he ³  is giving you as an inheritance, ⁴ 

He must eat the same share they do, despite any profits he may gain from the sale of his family’s inheritance. ¹ 

You must not shed innocent blood ¹  in your land that the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, for that would make you guilty. ² 

When ¹  you enter the land that the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you occupy it and live in it,

David said to the Gibeonites, “What can I do for you, and how can I make amends so that you will bless ¹  the Lord’s inheritance?”
