I will crush his enemies before him; I will strike down those who hate him.

You have allowed his adversaries to be victorious, ¹  and all his enemies to rejoice.

Your enemies, O Lord, hurl insults; they insult your chosen king as they dog his footsteps. ¹ 

Fire goes before him; on every side ¹  it burns up his enemies.

The Lord ¹  made his people very fruitful, and made them ²  more numerous than their ³  enemies.

The water covered their enemies; not even one of them survived. ¹ 

By God’s power we will conquer; ¹  he will trample down ²  our enemies.

The Lord ¹  extends ²  your dominion ³  from Zion. Rule in the midst of your enemies!

Your commandments ¹  make me wiser than my enemies, for I am always aware of them.

The enemies who chase me are numerous. ¹  Yet I do not turn aside from your rules.

and snatched us away from our enemies, for his loyal love endures,

Rescue me from my enemies, O Lord! I run to you for protection. ¹ 

Then the Lord provoked ¹  their adversaries to attack them, ²  he stirred up ³  their enemies –

Then I said, ¹  “Lord, pay attention to me. Listen to what my enemies are saying. ² 

צ (Tsade) For no good reason ¹  my enemies hunted me down ²  like a bird.

Lift your hand triumphantly against your adversaries; ¹  may all your enemies be destroyed! ² 

The Lord was furious with Israel ¹  and handed them over to robbers who plundered them. ²  He turned them over to ³  their enemies who lived around them. They could not withstand their enemies’ attacks. ⁴ 

I myself will make the land desolate and your enemies who live in it will be appalled.

Do not go up, for the Lord is not among you, and you will be ¹  defeated before your enemies.

Edom will be a possession, Seir, ¹  his enemies, will also be a possession; but Israel will act valiantly.
