You ¹  will eat what you worked so hard to grow. ²  You will be blessed and secure. ³ 

For they eat bread ¹  gained from wickedness ²  and drink wine obtained from violence. ³ 

“Come, eat ¹  some of my food, and drink some of the wine I have mixed. ² 

When you sit down to eat with a ruler, consider carefully ¹  what ²  is before you,

Do not eat the food of a stingy person, ¹  do not crave his delicacies;

Do not spend time ¹  among drunkards, ²  among those who eat too much ³  meat,

She watches over ¹  the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. ² 

For no one ¹  can eat and drink ²  or experience joy ³  apart from him. ⁴ 

They will build houses and live in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

‘Build houses and settle down. Plant gardens and eat what they produce.

We have submitted ¹  to Egypt and Assyria in order to buy food to eat. ² 

“Son of man, eat your bread with trembling, ¹  and drink your water with anxious shaking.

This is how you are to eat it – dressed to travel, ¹  your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. You are to eat it in haste. It is the Lord’s Passover. ² 

They are to eat those things by which atonement was made ¹  to consecrate and to set them apart, but no one else ²  may eat them, for they are holy.

Aaron and his sons are to eat what is left over from it. It must be eaten unleavened in a holy place; they are to eat it in the courtyard of the Meeting Tent.

“‘These you can eat from all creatures that are in the water: Any creatures in the water that have both fins and scales, ¹  whether in the seas or in the streams, ²  you may eat.

but if a priest buys a person with his own money, ¹  that person ²  may eat the holy offerings, ³  and those born in the priest’s ⁴  own house may eat his food. ⁵ 

and you may sow the eighth year and eat from that sixth year’s produce ¹  – old produce. Until you bring in the ninth year’s produce, ²  you may eat old produce.

But he refused, saying, “I won’t eat!” Both his servants and the woman urged ¹  him to eat, so he gave in. ²  He got up from the ground and sat down on the bed.
