So ¹  he went down to Capernaum, ²  a town ³  in Galilee, and on the Sabbath he began to teach the people. ⁴ 

Now on ¹  the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, a large crowd met him.

And you, Capernaum, ¹  will you be exalted to heaven? ²  No, you will be thrown down to Hades! ³ 

Then if ¹  it bears fruit next year, ²  very well, ³  but if ⁴  not, you can cut it down.’”

but on the day Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. ¹ 

Jesus ¹  also told this parable to some who were confident that they were righteous and looked down ²  on everyone else.

For the bread of God is the one who ¹  comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

just as the Father knows me and I know the Father – and I lay down my life ¹  for ²  the sheep.

He bent down ¹  and saw the strips of linen cloth lying there, ²  but he did not go in.

But Mary stood outside the tomb weeping. As she wept, she bent down and looked into the tomb.

When the brothers found out about this, they brought him down to Caesarea ¹  and sent him away to Tarsus.

Calling for lights, the jailer ¹  rushed in and fell down ²  trembling at the feet of Paul and Silas.

Now ¹  when Jesus entered Peter’s house, he saw his mother-in-law lying down, ²  sick with a fever.

When it was full, they pulled it ashore, sat down, and put the good fish into containers and threw the bad away.
