though it never saw the light of day ¹  nor knew anything, ²  yet it has more rest ³  than that man –

The human mind is more deceitful than anything else. It is incurably bad. ¹  Who can understand it?

The one on the roof ¹  must not come down or go inside to take anything out of his house. ²

And let endurance have its perfect effect, so that you will be perfect and complete, not deficient in anything.
