Certainly ¹  you made my mind and heart; ²  you wove me together ³  in my mother’s womb.

Listen, ¹  my child, ²  to the instruction ³  from ⁴  your father, and do not forsake the teaching ⁵  from ⁶  your mother.

When I was a son to my father, ¹  a tender only child ²  before my mother,

My child, guard the commands of your father and do not forsake the instruction of your mother.

The Proverbs of Solomon: A wise child ²  makes a father rejoice, ³  but a foolish child ⁴  is a grief to his mother. ⁵ 

The one who curses ¹  his father and his mother, his lamp ²  will be extinguished in the blackest ³  darkness.

Listen to your father who begot you, and do not despise your mother when she is old.

As a mother consoles a child, ¹  so I will console you, and you will be consoled over Jerusalem.”

“‘Observe – everyone who quotes proverbs will quote this proverb about you: “Like mother, like daughter.”

Then he got up, took the child and his mother during ¹  the night, and went to Egypt.

So ¹  he got up and took the child and his mother and returned to the land of Israel.

Now ¹  when Jesus entered Peter’s house, he saw his mother-in-law lying down, ²  sick with a fever.

To the one who had said this, Jesus ¹  replied, ²  “Who is my mother and who are my brothers?”

And pointing ¹  toward his disciples he said, “Here ²  are my mother and my brothers!

For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is ¹  my brother and sister and mother.”

Instructed by her mother, she said, “Give me the head of John the Baptist here on a platter.”

His ¹  head was brought on a platter and given to the girl, and she brought it to her mother.

Simon’s mother-in-law was lying down, sick with a fever, so ¹  they spoke to Jesus ²  at once about her.

Then ¹  Jesus’ ²  mother and his brothers ³  came. Standing ⁴  outside, they sent word to him, to summon him.

And looking at those who were sitting around him in a circle, he said, “Here ¹  are my mother and my brothers!
