They will fall down, ¹  but we ²  will stand firm. ³ 

Before him the coastlands ¹  will bow down, and his enemies will lick the dust. ² 

For God is the judge! ¹  He brings one down and exalts another. ² 

From heaven you announced what their punishment would be. ¹  The earth ²  was afraid and silent

He has taken away my strength in the middle of life; ¹  he has cut short my days.

Therefore ask the Lord of the harvest ¹  to send out ²  workers into his harvest.”

But she came and bowed down ¹  before him and said, ²  “Lord, help me!”

He went away from them about a stone’s throw, knelt down, and prayed,

So ¹  they worshiped ²  him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, ³ 

Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you.

Jehu aimed his bow and shot an arrow right between Jehoram’s shoulders. ¹  The arrow went through ²  his heart and he fell to his knees in his chariot.

But Peter sent them all outside, ¹  knelt down, ²  and prayed. Turning ³  to the body, he said, “Tabitha, get up.” Then she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up. ⁴ 

Look at every proud man and abase him; crush the wicked on the spot! ¹ 

Let the whole earth fear ¹  the Lord! Let all who live in the world stand in awe of him!

All the earth worships ¹  you and sings praises to you! They sing praises to your name!” (Selah)

As for me, I cry out to you, O Lord; in the morning my prayer confronts you.

Worship the Lord in holy attire! ¹  Tremble before him, all the earth!

Those who are evil will bow ¹  before those who are good, and the wicked will bow ²  at the gates ³  of the righteous.

Her gates will mourn and lament; deprived of her people, she will sit on the ground. ¹ 

And whoever does not bow down and pay homage must be thrown into the midst of a furnace of blazing fire.
