Samaria and its king will be carried off ¹  like a twig ²  on the surface of the waters.

“I will destroy ¹  everything from the face of the earth,” says the Lord.

Springs ¹  would well up ²  from the earth and water ³  the whole surface of the ground. ⁴ 

When humankind ¹  began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born ²  to them, ³ 

The waters completely overwhelmed ¹  the earth, and the ark floated ²  on the surface of the waters.

Then Noah ¹  sent out a dove ²  to see if the waters had receded ³  from the surface of the ground.

So the Lord scattered them from there across the face of the entire earth, and they stopped building ¹  the city.

Haran died in the land of his birth, in Ur of the Chaldeans, ¹  while his father Terah was still alive. ² 

When the men got up to leave, ¹  they looked out over ²  Sodom. (Now ³  Abraham was walking with them to see them on their way.) ⁴ 

Abraham got up early in the morning and went ¹  to the place where he had stood before the Lord.

Then Abraham got up from mourning his dead wife ¹  and said to the sons of Heth, ² 

When Jacob saw the look on Laban’s face, he could tell his attitude toward him had changed. ¹ 

Then Joseph hugged his father’s face. ¹  He wept over him and kissed him.

At ¹  three times in the year all your males will appear before the Lord God. ² 

But he added, “You cannot see my face, for no one can ¹  see me and live.” ² 

At three times ¹  in the year all your men ²  must appear before the Lord God, ³  the God of Israel.

You must stand up in the presence of the aged, honor the presence of an elder, and fear your God. I am the Lord.

(Now the man Moses was very humble, ¹  more so than any man on the face of the earth.)

Then Moses and Aaron stood before the tent of meeting.

Then they traveled on from Oboth and camped at Iye Abarim, ¹  in the wilderness that is before Moab, on the eastern side. ²
