Then Isaac built an altar there and worshiped ¹  the Lord. He pitched his tent there, and his servants dug a well. ² 

That day Isaac’s servants came and told him about the well they had dug. “We’ve found water,” they reported. ¹ 

So Joseph went up to bury his father; all Pharaoh’s officials went with him – the senior courtiers ¹  of his household, all the senior officials of the land of Egypt,

because the Israelites are my own servants; ¹  they are my servants whom I brought out from the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

Certainly you will not refuse one of my master’s minor officials and trust in Egypt for chariots and horsemen. ¹
