The Lord decided not to do this. ¹  “It will not happen,” the Lord said.

Listen to this, you who trample ¹  the needy, and do away with ²  the destitute in the land.

So the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this ¹  you have done?” And the woman replied, “The serpent ²  tricked ³  me, and I ate.”

These are the animals you may eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat,

The Jordan River borders it on the east. These were the borders of the land assigned to the tribe of Benjamin by its clans. ¹

After all this happened, the Lord afflicted him with an incurable intestinal disease. ¹
