So Balak did just as Balaam had said. Balak and Balaam then offered on each ¹  altar a bull and a ram.

So Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.

And their grain offering is to be of finely ground flour mixed with olive oil. For each bull you must offer three-tenths of an ephah, and two-tenths for the ram.

“‘Their grain offering is to be of finely ground flour mixed with olive oil, three-tenths of an ephah for the bull, two-tenths of an ephah for the ram,

“‘On the fourth day you must offer ten bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs one year old, all without blemish,

“‘On the fifth day you must offer nine bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs one year old, all without blemish,

“‘On the sixth day you must offer eight bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs one year old, all without blemish,

“‘On the seventh day you must offer seven bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs one year old, all without blemish,

Then you will accept ¹  the proper sacrifices, burnt sacrifices and whole offerings; then bulls will be sacrificed ²  on your altar. ³ 

Wild oxen will be slaughtered ¹  along with them, as well as strong bulls. ²  Their land is drenched with blood, their soil is covered with fat.

Kill all her soldiers! ¹  Let them be slaughtered! ²  They are doomed, ³  for their day of reckoning ⁴  has come, the time for them to be punished.”

You will also take the bull for the sin offering, and it will be burned in the appointed place in the temple, outside the sanctuary.

When you have finished purifying it, you will offer an unblemished young bull and an unblemished ram from the flock.

On that day the prince will provide for himself and for all the people of the land a bull for a sin offering.

He will provide as a grain offering an ephah for each bull, an ephah for each ram, and a gallon ¹  of olive oil for each ephah of grain. ² 

On the day of the new moon he will offer ¹  an unblemished young bull, and six lambs and a ram, all without blemish.

That night the Lord said to him, “Take the bull from your father’s herd, as well as a second bull, one that is seven years old. ¹  Pull down your father’s Baal altar and cut down the nearby Asherah pole.

King Hezekiah of Judah supplied 1,000 bulls and 7,000 sheep ¹  for the assembly, while the officials supplied them ²  with 1,000 bulls and 10,000 sheep. Many priests consecrated themselves.
