When a scorner is punished, the naive ¹  becomes wise; when a wise person is instructed, ²  he gains knowledge.

There is desirable treasure and olive oil ¹  in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish person ²  devours all he has. ³ 

The wise person ¹  can scale ²  the city of the mighty and bring down the stronghold ³  in which they trust. ⁴ 

Incline your ear ²  and listen to the words of the wise, and apply your heart to my instruction. ³
