But the army took from the plunder some of the sheep and cattle – the best of what was to be slaughtered – to sacrifice to the Lord your God in Gilgal.”

“Look now at Behemoth, ²  which I made as ³  I made you; it eats grass like the ox.

At that time ¹  a man will keep alive a young cow from the herd and a couple of goats.

A cow and a bear will graze together, their young will lie down together. ¹  A lion, like an ox, will eat straw.

Sharon ¹  will become a pasture for sheep, and the Valley of Achor ²  a place where cattle graze; ³  they will belong to my people, who seek me. ⁴

Also their neighbors, from as far away as Issachar, Zebulun, and Naphtali, were bringing food on donkeys, camels, mules, and oxen. There were large supplies of flour, fig cakes, raisins, wine, olive oil, beef, and lamb, ¹  for Israel was celebrating. ² 

Images of bulls were under it all the way around, ten every eighteen inches ¹  all the way around. The bulls were in two rows and had been cast with “The Sea.”

Abraham ¹  then took some curds and milk, along with the calf that had been prepared, and placed the food ²  before them. They ate while ³  he was standing near them under a tree.

So Abimelech gave ¹  sheep, cattle, and male and female servants to Abraham. He also gave his wife Sarah back to him.

“The Lord has richly blessed my master and he has become very wealthy. ¹  The Lord ²  has given him sheep and cattle, silver and gold, male and female servants, and camels and donkeys.

Jacob was very afraid and upset. So he divided the people who were with him into two camps, as well as the flocks, herds, and camels.

But Jacob ¹  said to him, “My lord knows that the children are young, ²  and that I have to look after the sheep and cattle that are nursing their young. ³  If they are driven too hard for even a single day, all the animals will die.
