Older men are to be temperate, dignified, self-controlled, ¹  sound in faith, in love, and in endurance. ² 

And the fruit that consists of righteousness ¹  is planted ²  in peace among ³  those who make peace.

young men in whom there was no physical defect and who were handsome, ¹  well versed in all kinds of wisdom, well educated ²  and having keen insight, ³  and who were capable ⁴  of entering the king’s royal service ⁵  – and to teach them the literature and language ⁶  of the Babylonians. ⁷ 

May God give you the dew of the sky ¹  and the richness ²  of the earth, and plenty of grain and new wine.

seven fine-looking, fat cows were coming up out of the Nile, ¹  and they grazed in the reeds.

The bad-looking, thin cows ate the seven fine-looking, fat cows. Then Pharaoh woke up.

Then seven fat and fine-looking cows were coming up out of the Nile, and they grazed in the reeds. ¹ 

The woman became pregnant ¹  and gave birth to a son. When ²  she saw that ³  he was a healthy ⁴  child, she hid him for three months.

Your lamb must be ¹  perfect, ²  a male, one year old; ³  you may take ⁴  it from the sheep or from the goats.

You must serve ¹  the Lord your God, and he ²  will bless your bread and your water, ³  and I will remove sickness from your midst.

You are to offer them with their drink offerings in addition to the continual burnt offering and its grain offering – they must be unblemished.

You must offer a burnt offering as a sweet aroma to the Lord: one young bull, one ram, and seven lambs one year old without blemish.

“‘On the second day you must offer twelve young bulls, two rams, fourteen lambs one year old, all without blemish,

When the Philistine looked carefully at David, he despised him, for he was only a ruddy and handsome boy.

So the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he had promised him. And Hiram and Solomon were at peace and made a treaty. ¹ 

Your wife will be like a fruitful vine ¹  in the inner rooms of your house; your children ²  will be like olive branches, as they sit all around your table.

For this reason ¹  the sovereign master, the Lord who commands armies, will make his healthy ones emaciated. ²  His majestic glory will go up in smoke. ³ 

But I will most surely ¹  heal the wounds of this city and restore it and its people to health. ²  I will show them abundant ³  peace and security.

And the child kept growing ¹  and becoming strong ²  in spirit, and he was in the wilderness ³  until the day he was revealed ⁴  to Israel.

let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ ¹  the Nazarene whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, this man stands before you healthy.
