and here he has authority from the chief priests to imprison ¹  all who call on your name!” ² 

For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous before God, but those who do the law will be declared righteous. ¹ 

For no one can lay any foundation other than what is being laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Now it is clear no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous one will live by faith. ¹ 

because you know that each person, whether slave or free, if he does something good, this ¹  will be rewarded by the Lord.

You, however, must continue ¹  in the things you have learned and are confident about. You know ²  who taught you ³ 

When you come, bring with you the cloak I left in Troas with Carpas and the scrolls, especially the parchments.

So as you come to him, ¹  a living stone rejected by men but ²  chosen and priceless ³  in God’s sight,

yet even ¹  angels, who are much more powerful, ²  do not bring a slanderous ³  judgment against them before the Lord. ⁴ 

And as he sowed, some seeds ¹  fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them.

When he left there, Jesus went along the Sea of Galilee. Then he went up a mountain, where he sat down.

Two ¹  blind men were sitting by the road. When they heard that Jesus was passing by, they shouted, ²  “Have mercy ³  on us, Lord, Son of David!” ⁴ 

So they took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story is told among the Jews to this day. ¹ 

As he went along the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, Simon’s brother, casting a net into the sea (for they were fishermen). ¹ 

And as he sowed, some seed ¹  fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it.

When Jesus had crossed again in a boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around him, and he was by the sea.

At harvest time he sent a slave ¹  to the tenants to collect from them ²  his portion of the crop. ³ 

Now ¹  Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, ²  and the crowd was pressing around him ³  to hear the word of God.

He ¹  saw two boats by the lake, but the fishermen had gotten out of them and were washing their nets.

While he was still speaking, someone from the synagogue ruler’s ¹  house came and said, “Your daughter is dead; do not trouble the teacher any longer.”
