And we rightly so, for we are getting what we deserve for what we did, but this man has done nothing ¹  wrong.”

Then ¹  they returned and prepared aromatic spices ²  and perfumes. ³  On the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment. ⁴ 

So when he heard that Lazarus ¹  was sick, he remained in the place where he was for two more days.

I wrote ¹  the former ²  account, ³  Theophilus, ⁴  about all that Jesus began to do and teach

For ¹  John baptized with water, but you ²  will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

So those who accepted ¹  his message ²  were baptized, and that day about three thousand people ³  were added. ⁴ 

So they left the council rejoicing because they had been considered worthy ¹  to suffer dishonor for the sake of the name. ² 

(Now the men ¹  who were traveling with him stood there speechless, ²  because they heard the voice but saw no one.) ³ 

So Barnabas and Saul, ¹  sent out by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia, ²  and from there they sailed to Cyprus. ³ 

So when they were dismissed, ¹  they went down to Antioch, ²  and after gathering the entire group ³  together, they delivered the letter.

Therefore many of them believed, along with quite a few ¹  prominent ²  Greek women and men.

Therefore, although God has overlooked ¹  such times of ignorance, ²  he now commands all people ³  everywhere to repent, ⁴ 

Now when they heard about ¹  the resurrection from the dead, some began to scoff, ²  but others said, “We will hear you again about this.”

Then the commanding officer ¹  sent the young man away, directing him, ²  “Tell no one that you have reported ³  these things to me.”

So the soldiers, in accordance with their orders, ¹  took ²  Paul and brought him to Antipatris ³  during the night.

Then Festus ¹  replied that Paul was being kept at Caesarea, ²  and he himself intended to go there ³  shortly.

Of course, ¹  I myself was convinced ²  that it was necessary to do many things hostile to the name of Jesus the Nazarene.

So you too consider yourselves ¹  dead to sin, but ²  alive to God in Christ Jesus.

But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, but ¹  the Spirit is your life ²  because of righteousness.

And if children, then heirs (namely, heirs of God and also fellow heirs with Christ) ¹  – if indeed we suffer with him so we may also be glorified with him.
