But practicing the truth in love, ¹  we will in all things grow up into Christ, who is the head.

For everything made evident is light, and for this reason it says: ¹  “Awake, ²  O sleeper! ³  Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you!” ⁴ 

because the husband is the head of the wife as also Christ is the head of the church – he himself being the savior of the body.

When Christ (who is your ¹  life) appears, then you too will be revealed in glory with him.

He asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered him, ¹  “You are the Christ.” ²

He first ¹  found his own brother Simon and told him, “We have found the Messiah!” ²  (which is translated Christ). ³ 

You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ ¹  but rather, ‘I have been sent before him.’

The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (the one called Christ); ¹  “whenever he ²  comes, he will tell ³  us everything.” ⁴ 

“Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Surely he can’t be the Messiah, ¹  can he?” ² 

Yet here he is, speaking publicly, ¹  and they are saying nothing to him. ²  Do the rulers really know that this man ³  is the Christ? ⁴ 

Yet many of the crowd ¹  believed in him and said, “Whenever the Christ ²  comes, he won’t perform more miraculous signs than this man did, will he?” ³ 

Don’t the scriptures say that the Christ is a descendant ¹  of David ²  and comes from Bethlehem, ³  the village where David lived?” ⁴ 

She replied, ¹  “Yes, Lord, I believe ²  that you are the Christ, ³  the Son of God who comes into the world.” ⁴ 

But Saul became more and more capable, ¹  and was causing consternation ²  among the Jews who lived in Damascus by proving ³  that Jesus ⁴  is the Christ. ⁵ 

Peter ¹  said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus the Christ ²  heals you. Get up and make your own bed!” ³  And immediately he got up.
