Moreover, you continued to provoke the Lord at Taberah, ¹  Massah, ²  and Kibroth-Hattaavah. ³ 

Now King David heard about all these things and was very angry. ¹ 

But you have spurned ¹  and rejected him; you are angry with your chosen king. ² 

because of your anger and raging fury. Indeed, ¹  you pick me up and throw me away.

So the Lord was angry with his people ¹  and despised the people who belong to him. ² 

And in anger his lord turned him over to the prison guards to torture him ¹  until he repaid all he owed.

But some who were present indignantly said to one another, “Why this waste of expensive ¹  ointment?

But they were filled with mindless rage ¹  and began debating with one another what they would do ²  to Jesus.

When ¹  they heard ²  this they became enraged ³  and began to shout, ⁴  “Great is Artemis ⁵  of the Ephesians!”

When Herod ¹  saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, he became enraged. He sent men ²  to kill all the children in Bethlehem ³  and throughout the surrounding region from the age of two and under, according to the time he had learned from the wise men.

Jacob became furious ¹  with Rachel and exclaimed, “Am I in the place of God, who has kept you from having children?” ² 

Pharaoh was enraged with his servants, and he put me in prison in the house of the captain of the guards – me and the chief baker.

The Lord was also angry enough at Aaron to kill him, but at that time I prayed for him ¹  too.

So the Lord has uprooted them from their land in anger, wrath, and great rage and has deported them to another land, as is clear today.”

The Lord was furious with Israel ¹  and turned them over to ²  the Philistines and Ammonites.

The Lord was angry with Solomon because he had shifted his allegiance ¹  away from the Lord, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him on two occasions ² 

You have sinned more than all who came before you. You went and angered me by making other gods, formed out of metal; you have completely disregarded me. ¹ 

So the Lord was furious ¹  with Israel and rejected them; ²  only the tribe of Judah was left.

Stand up angrily, ¹  Lord! Rise up with raging fury against my enemies! ²  Wake up for my sake and execute the judgment you have decreed for them! ³ 

Like one who grabs a wild dog by the ears, ¹  so is the person passing by who becomes furious ²  over a quarrel not his own.
