And the priest is to make atonement ¹  for the whole community of the Israelites, and they will be forgiven, ²  because it was unintentional and they have brought their offering, an offering made by fire to the Lord, and their purification offering before the Lord, for their unintentional offense.

He touched my mouth with it and said, “Look, this coal has touched your lips. Your evil is removed; your sin is forgiven.” ¹ 

bearing with one another and forgiving ¹  one another, if someone happens to have ²  a complaint against anyone else. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also forgive others. ³

God exalted him ¹  to his right hand as Leader ²  and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. ³ 

Then Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment ¹  is too great to endure! ² 

Grant me the ultimate joy of being forgiven! ¹  May the bones ²  you crushed rejoice! ³ 

in whom we have redemption, ¹  the forgiveness of sins.

All unrighteousness ¹  is sin, but there is sin not resulting in death. ² 

Then David exclaimed to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord!” Nathan replied to David, “Yes, and the Lord has forgiven ¹  your sin. You are not going to die.

Then you will remember, be ashamed, and remain silent ¹  when I make atonement for all you have done, ²  declares the sovereign Lord.’”

Peter said to them, “Repent, and each one of you be baptized ¹  in the name of Jesus Christ ²  for ³  the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. ⁴ 

I will avenge ¹  their blood which I had not previously acquitted. It is the Lord who dwells in Zion!

In the wilderness ¹  John the baptizer ²  began preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. ³ 

He ¹  went into all the region around the Jordan River, ²  preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. ³
