Do they not blaspheme the good name of the one you belong to? ¹ 

May the godly strike me in love and correct me! May my head not refuse ¹  choice oil! ²  Indeed, my prayer is a witness against their evil deeds. ³ 

I made you plentiful like sprouts in a field; you grew tall and came of age so that you could wear jewelry. Your breasts had formed and your hair had grown, but you were still naked and bare.

“You, O king, were watching as a great statue – one ¹  of impressive size and extraordinary brightness – was standing before you. Its appearance caused alarm.

By faith Abel offered God a greater sacrifice than Cain, and through his faith ¹  he was commended as righteous, because God commended him for his offerings. And through his faith ²  he still speaks, though he is dead.

For he received honor and glory from God the Father, when that ¹  voice was conveyed to him by the Majestic Glory: “This is my dear Son, in whom I am delighted.” ² 

He had many supplies stored in the cities of Judah and an army of skilled warriors stationed in Jerusalem. ¹ 

The truly wise person ¹  restrains ²  his words, and the one who stays calm ³  is discerning.

Wisdom, like ¹  an inheritance, is a good thing; it benefits those who see the light of day. ² 

Look, the Lord will throw you far away, ¹  you mere man! ²  He will wrap you up tightly. ³ 

A good tree is not able to bear bad fruit, nor a bad tree to bear good fruit.

Now ¹  someone came up to him and said, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to gain eternal life?”

But if I do what I don’t want, I agree that the law is good. ¹ 

There are probably many kinds of languages in the world, and none is without meaning.

This saying ¹  is trustworthy: “If someone aspires to the office of overseer, ²  he desires a good work.”

God saw all that he had made – and it was very good! ¹  There was evening, and there was morning, the sixth day.

But the fig tree said to them, ‘I am not going to stop producing my sweet figs, my excellent fruit, just to sway above the other trees!’ ¹ 

You are the most handsome of all men! ¹  You speak in an impressive and fitting manner! ²  For this reason ³  God grants you continual blessings. ⁴ 

They traded with you choice garments, purple clothes and embroidered work, and multicolored carpets, bound and reinforced with cords; these were among your merchandise.

And the king ¹  said to him, ‘Well done, good slave! Because you have been faithful ²  in a very small matter, you will have authority ³  over ten cities.’
