beside the gates opening into ¹  the city, at the entrance of the doorways she cries out: ² 

In front of the chambers was a walkway on the inner side, 17½ feet ¹  wide at a distance of 1¾ feet, ²  and their entrances were on the north.

This is what the Lord says to his chosen ¹  one, to Cyrus, whose right hand I hold ²  in order to subdue nations before him, and disarm kings, ³  to open doors before him, so gates remain unclosed:

All of the entrances ¹  were rectangular in shape ²  and they were arranged in sets of three. ³ 

Have the gates of death been revealed to you? ¹  Have you seen the gates of deepest darkness? ² 

So also you, when you see all these things, know ¹  that he is near, right at the door.
