Abram believed ¹  the Lord, and the Lord ²  considered his response of faith ³  as proof of genuine loyalty. ⁴ 

My integrity will testify for me ¹  later on. ²  When you come to verify that I’ve taken only the wages we agreed on, ³  if I have in my possession any goat that is not speckled or spotted or any sheep that is not dark-colored, it will be considered stolen.” ⁴ 

Thus ¹  his anger burns against me, and he considers me among his enemies. ² 

I have become a brother to jackals and a companion of ostriches. ¹ 

When I tried to make sense of this, it was troubling to me. ¹ 

So ¹  I again considered ²  all the oppression ³  that continually occurs ⁴  on earth. ⁵  This is what I saw: ⁶  The oppressed ⁷  were in tears, ⁸  but no one was comforting them; no one delivers ⁹  them from the power of their oppressors.

So ¹  I again considered ²  another ³  futile thing on earth: ⁴ 

When he had contemplated this, an ¹  angel of the Lord ²  appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

Why do you people ¹  think ²  it is unbelievable ³  that ⁴  God raises the dead?

Therefore do not let what you consider good ¹  be spoken of as evil.

In those days Ahithophel’s advice was considered as valuable as a prophetic revelation. ¹  Both David and Absalom highly regarded the advice of Ahithophel. ²

What he did was evil in the Lord’s sight, so the Lord ¹  killed him too.
