I carefully obey your commands; ¹  I do not deviate from them. ² 

So now, children, ¹  listen to me; do not turn aside from the words I speak. ² 

And pointing ¹  toward his disciples he said, “Here ²  are my mother and my brothers!

Nothing is hidden ¹  that will not be revealed, ²  and nothing is secret that will not be made known.

For I can testify that he has worked hard ¹  for you and for those in Laodicea and Hierapolis.

You, however, ¹  have followed my teaching, my ²  way of life, my purpose, my faith, my patience, my love, my endurance,

The Lord said to me: “Son of man, pay attention, ¹  watch closely and listen carefully to ²  everything I tell you concerning all the statutes of the Lord’s house and all its laws. Pay attention to the entrances ³  to the temple with all the exits of the sanctuary.

Silently the man watched her with interest to determine ¹  if the Lord had made his journey successful ²  or not.

The judges will thoroughly investigate the matter, and if the witness should prove to be false and to have given false testimony against the accused, ¹

The Philistines stayed right on the heels of ¹  Saul and his sons. They ²  struck down Saul’s ³  sons Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malki-Shua.

But prior to this time, Eliashib the priest, a relative of Tobiah, had been appointed over the storerooms ¹  of the temple of our God.

And you put my feet in the stocks ¹  and you watch all my movements; ²  you put marks ³  on the soles of my feet.

The Lord is far ¹  from the wicked, but he hears ²  the prayer of the righteous. ³ 

You complacent ¹  women, get up and listen to me! You carefree ²  daughters, pay attention to what I say!

For I see everything they do. Their wicked ways are not hidden from me. Their sin is not hidden away where I cannot see it. ¹ 

But listen to what I say to you and to all these people. ¹ 

And he said to me, “Son of man, take all my words that I speak to you to heart and listen carefully.

As it is written in Isaiah the prophet, ¹  “Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way, ² 

Then ¹  he went down with them and came to Nazareth, ²  and was obedient ³  to them. But ⁴  his mother kept all these things ⁵  in her heart. ⁶
