Solomon tried to kill Jeroboam, but Jeroboam escaped to Egypt and found refuge with King Shishak of Egypt. ¹  He stayed in Egypt until Solomon died.

Jeroboam’s wife did as she was told. She went to Shiloh and visited Ahijah. ¹  Now Ahijah could not see; he had lost his eyesight in his old age. ² 

Elijah was afraid, ¹  so he got up and fled for his life to Beer Sheba in Judah. He left his servant there,

Then all the people, from the youngest to the oldest, as well as the army officers, left for ¹  Egypt, because they were afraid of what the Babylonians might do.

The horn that was broken ¹  and in whose place there arose four others stands for four kingdoms that will arise from his nation, though they will not have his strength.

So Saul arose and went down to the desert of Ziph, accompanied by three thousand select men of Israel, to look for David in the desert of Ziph.

So Shimei got up, saddled his donkey, and went to Achish at Gath to find his servants; Shimei went and brought back his servants from Gath.

When Solomon finished presenting all these prayers and requests to the Lord, he got up from before the altar of the Lord where he had kneeled and spread out his hands toward the sky. ¹ 

No prophet ever again arose in Israel like Moses, who knew the Lord face to face. ¹ 

Then Jonathan son of Saul left and went to David at Horesh. He encouraged him ¹  through God.

Then some of the elders of Judah ¹  stepped forward and spoke to all the people gathered there. They said,

So ¹  he got up and took the child and his mother and returned to the land of Israel.

Her ¹  spirit returned, ²  and she got up immediately. Then ³  he told them to give her something to eat.

Then ¹  after he had spent everything, a severe famine took place in that country, and he began to be in need.

So the young men came, ¹  wrapped him up, ²  carried him out, and buried ³  him.

Not long after this, a hurricane-force ¹  wind called the northeaster ²  blew down from the island. ³ 

He left ¹  with all he owned. He quickly crossed ²  the Euphrates River ³  and headed for ⁴  the hill country of Gilead.

When David got up the next morning, the Lord had already spoken ¹  to Gad the prophet, David’s seer:
