If a believing woman ¹  has widows in her family, ²  let her help them. The church should not be burdened, so that it may help the widows who are truly in need. ³ 

But those who have believing masters must not show them less respect ¹  because they are brothers. Instead they are to serve all the more, because those who benefit from their service are believers and dearly loved. ² Teach them and exhort them about these things. ³ 

But the one who hates his fellow Christian ¹  is in the darkness, walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes. ² 

Then when the proconsul ¹  saw what had happened, he believed, ²  because he was greatly astounded ³  at the teaching about ⁴  the Lord.

But be careful that this liberty of yours does not become a hindrance to the weak.

So by your knowledge the weak brother or sister, ¹  for whom Christ died, is destroyed. ² 

The one who speaks in a tongue builds himself up, ¹  but the one who prophesies builds up the church.

Are you so foolish? Although you began ¹  with ²  the Spirit, are you now trying to finish ³  by human effort? ⁴ 

For the one who does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, ¹  and there are no exceptions. ²

For everyone who lives on milk is inexperienced in the message of righteousness, because he is an infant.

The one who loves his fellow Christian ¹  resides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. ²

Therefore we must not pass judgment on one another, but rather determine never to place an obstacle or a trap before a brother or sister. ¹ 

It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything that causes your brother to stumble. ¹
