Say to them: ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: ¹  “‘A great eagle ²  with broad wings, long feathers, ³  with full plumage which was multi-hued, ⁴  came to Lebanon ⁵  and took the top of the cedar.

He measured it on all four sides. It had a wall around it, 875 feet long and 875 feet wide, to separate the holy and common places.

“‘Alongside the portion set apart as the holy allotment, you will allot for the city an area one and two-thirds miles ¹  wide and eight and a quarter miles ²  long; it will be for the whole house of Israel.

The Lord God appointed ¹  a little plant ²  and caused it to grow up over Jonah to be a shade over his head to rescue ³  him from his misery. ⁴  Now Jonah was very delighted ⁵  about the little plant.

When I went out to the city gate and secured my seat in the public square, ¹ 

He will vindicate you in broad daylight, and publicly defend your just cause. ¹ 

Over here is the deep, wide sea, ¹  which teems with innumerable swimming creatures, ²  living things both small and large.

As the heaven is high ¹  and the earth is deep so the hearts of kings are unsearchable. ² 

This is what the Lord says: ‘I am about to bring disaster on you ¹  from inside your own household! ²  Right before your eyes I will take your wives and hand them over to your companion. ³  He will have sexual relations with ⁴  your wives in broad daylight! ⁵ 

The alcoves were 10½ feet long and 10½ feet wide; between the alcoves were 8¾ feet. ¹  The threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate facing inward was 10½ feet.

The four tables for the burnt offering were of carved stone, 32 inches ¹  long, 32 inches ²  wide, and 21 inches ³  high. They would put the instruments which they used to slaughter the burnt offering and the sacrifice on them.

You are to make a surrounding frame ¹  for it about three inches broad, and you are to make a surrounding border of gold for its frame.

Then the one making the offering ¹  must present all its fat: the fatty tail, the fat covering the entrails,

Now the city was spread out ¹  and large, and there were not a lot of people in it. ²  At that time houses had not been rebuilt.

How long must I worry, ¹  and suffer in broad daylight? ²  How long will my enemy gloat over me? ³ 

You allowed men to ride over our heads; we passed through fire and water, but you brought us out into a wide open place. ¹ 

He executes judgment ¹  against ²  the nations; he fills the valleys with corpses; ³  he shatters their heads over the vast battlefield. ⁴ 

When someone’s ¹  prosperity ²  increases, those who consume it also increase; so what does its owner ³  gain, except that he gets to see it with his eyes? ⁴ 

In their streets they wear sackcloth; on their roofs and in their town squares all of them wail, they fall down weeping.

Every valley must be elevated, and every mountain and hill leveled. The rough terrain will become a level plain, the rugged landscape a wide valley.
