Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

So the Levites no longer need to carry the tabernacle or any of the items used in its service.”

Whenever the tabernacle is to move, ¹  the Levites must take it down, and whenever the tabernacle is to be reassembled, ²  the Levites must set it up. ³  Any unauthorized person ⁴  who approaches it must be killed.

But the Levites must camp around the tabernacle of the testimony, so that the Lord’s anger ¹  will not fall on the Israelite community. The Levites are responsible for the care ²  of the tabernacle of the testimony.”

You are to make two frames for the corners ¹  of the tabernacle on the back.

“You are to make curtains of goats’ hair ¹  for a tent over the tabernacle; ²  you are to make ³  eleven curtains.

You are to set up the tabernacle according to the plan ¹  that you were shown on the mountain.

and the altar of incense with its poles, the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense; the hanging for the door at the entrance of the tabernacle;

He made fifty gold clasps and joined the curtains together to one another with the clasps, so that the tabernacle was a unit. ¹ 

All the tent pegs of the tabernacle and of the courtyard all around were bronze.

“On the first day of the first month you are to set up ¹  the tabernacle, the tent of meeting.

You are to put the altar for the burnt offering in front of the entrance to the tabernacle, the tent of meeting.

But when the cloud was lifted up ¹  from the tabernacle, the Israelites would set out ²  on all their journeys;

Then Moses took the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle and everything in it, and so consecrated them. ¹ 

(17:28) ¹  Anyone who even comes close to the tabernacle of the Lord will die! Are we all to die?” ² 

This is the inventory ¹  of the tabernacle, the tabernacle of the testimony, which was counted ²  by the order ³  of Moses, being the work ⁴  of the Levites under the direction ⁵  of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest.

Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud settled on it and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

They are responsible for his needs ¹  and the needs of the whole community before the tent of meeting, by attending ²  to the service of the tabernacle.

And they are responsible for all the furnishings of the tent of meeting, and for the needs of the Israelites, as they serve ¹  in the tabernacle.

“You are to make bars of acacia wood, five for the frames on one side of the tabernacle,
