And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself ¹  as an angel of light.

When Peter saw this, he declared to the people, “Men of Israel, ¹  why are you amazed at this? Why ²  do you stare at us as if we had made this man ³  walk by our own power or piety?

He brought me out into a wide open place; he delivered me because he was pleased with me. ¹

When ¹  Jesus finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed by his teaching,

All the crowds were amazed and said, “Could this one be the Son of David?”

When the disciples saw it they were amazed, saying, “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?”

But he did not answer even one accusation, so that the governor was quite amazed.

And he was amazed because of their unbelief. Then ¹  he went around among the villages and taught.

Now ¹  the people were waiting for Zechariah, and they began to wonder ²  why he was delayed in the holy place. ³ 

He ¹  asked for a writing tablet ²  and wrote, ³  “His name is John.” And they were all amazed. ⁴ 

All were astounded and greatly confused, saying to one another, “What does this mean?”

But you, brothers and sisters, ¹  are not in the darkness for the day to overtake you like a thief would.

When Zebah and Zalmunna ran away, Gideon ¹  chased them and captured the two Midianite kings, Zebah and Zalmunna. He had surprised ²  their entire army.

In the middle of the night he was startled ¹  and turned over. ²  Now ³  he saw a woman ⁴  lying beside him! ⁵ 

For as the churning ¹  of milk produces butter and as punching the nose produces blood, so stirring up anger ²  produces strife. ³ 

You will be shocked and amazed! ¹  You are totally blind! ²  They are drunk, ³  but not because of wine; they stagger, ⁴  but not because of beer.
