Joshua sent them away and they went to their hiding place ¹  west of Ai, between Bethel ²  and Ai. ³  Joshua spent that night with the army. ⁴ 

My days ¹  are swifter ²  than a weaver’s shuttle ³  and they come to an end without hope. ⁴ 

Do not reject me in my old age! ¹  When my strength fails, do not abandon me!

and after taking some food, his strength returned. For several days ¹  he was with the disciples in Damascus,

but they urged him, ¹  “Stay with us, because it is getting toward evening and the day is almost done.” So ²  he went in to stay with them.

(All the Athenians and the foreigners who lived there used to spend their time ¹  in nothing else than telling ²  or listening to something new.) ³ 

After he spent ¹  some time there, Paul left and went through the region of Galatia ²  and Phrygia, ³  strengthening all the disciples.

Live with him for a little while ¹  until your brother’s rage subsides.

My spirit is broken, ¹  my days have faded out, ²  the grave ³  awaits me.

and were continually in the temple courts ¹  blessing ²  God. ³ 

After this, he and the men who were with him ate a meal and stayed there overnight. ¹  When they got up in the morning, he said, “Let me leave now so I can return to my master.” ² 

He went into a cave there and spent the night. All of a sudden the Lord spoke to him, “Why are you here, Elijah?”

Jacob ¹  stayed there that night. Then he sent ²  as a gift ³  to his brother Esau

When the man got ready to leave, ¹  his father-in-law convinced him to stay another night. ² 

After this, ¹  Jesus and his disciples came into Judean territory, and there he spent time with them and was baptizing.

After ¹  they had spent some time there, ²  they were sent off in peace by the brothers to those who had sent them. ³ 

They spent three days feasting ¹  there with David, for their relatives had given them provisions.

For very soon my fury ¹  will subside, and my anger will be directed toward their destruction.”

When that year was over, they came to him the next year and said to him, “We cannot hide from our ¹  lord that the money is used up and the livestock and the animals belong to our lord. Nothing remains before our lord except our bodies and our land.

When the money from the lands of Egypt and Canaan was used up, all the Egyptians ¹  came to Joseph and said, “Give us food! Why should we die ²  before your very eyes because our money has run out?”
