but in the end ¹  she is bitter ²  as wormwood, ³  sharp as a two-edged ⁴  sword.

He ¹  said to the woman, “Your faith ²  has saved you; ³  go in peace.”

Whenever ¹  you enter a house, ²  first say, ‘May peace ³  be on this house!’

As a result, ¹  death is at work in us, but life is at work in you. ² 

And Adam was not deceived, but the woman, because she was fully deceived, ¹  fell into transgression. ² 

because you are attaining the goal of your faith – the salvation of your souls.

We therefore are informing the king that if this city is rebuilt and its walls are completed, you will not retain control ¹  of this portion of Trans-Euphrates.”

For I, the Lord, affirm ¹  that I did not send them. They are prophesying lies to you. If you ²  listen to them, I will drive you and the prophets who are prophesying lies out of the land and you will all die in exile.” ³ 

Thus ¹  they even carried the sick out into the streets, and put them on cots and pallets, so that when Peter came by at least his shadow would fall on some of them.

Consequently, ¹  just as condemnation ²  for all people ³  came ⁴  through one transgression, ⁵  so too through the one righteous act ⁶  came righteousness leading to life ⁷  for all people.

“But if he strikes him out of hatred or throws something at him intentionally ¹  so that he dies,

So the Lord sent a plague through Israel, and 70,000 Israelite men died.

The hope ¹  of the righteous is joy, but the expectation of the wicked will remain unfulfilled. ² 

The earth will become desolate ¹  because of what its inhabitants have done. ² 

Then ¹  Jesus ²  entered the synagogue ³  again, and a man was there who had a withered ⁴  hand.

Indeed, as a result of him the thoughts ¹  of many hearts will be revealed ²  – and a sword ³  will pierce your own soul as well!” ⁴ 

While they were saying these things, Jesus ¹  himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” ² 

After this many of his disciples quit following him ¹  and did not accompany him ²  any longer.

Therefore many of them believed, along with quite a few ¹  prominent ²  Greek women and men.

For Christ is the end of the law, with the result that there is righteousness for everyone who believes.
