and he was designated ¹  by God as high priest in the order of Melchizedek. ² 

and since we have a great priest ¹  over the house of God,

The priest must then examine it, ¹  and if ²  the scab has spread on the skin, then the priest is to pronounce the person unclean. ³  It is a disease.

The priest is to go outside the camp and examine the infection. ¹  If the infection of the diseased person has been healed, ² 

and the priest is to offer ¹  the burnt offering and the grain offering on the altar. So the priest is to make atonement for him and he will be clean.

and the priest is to take the male lamb of the guilt offering and the log of olive oil and wave them ¹  as a wave offering before the Lord.

So Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the Lord commanded Moses.

For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. So this one too had to have something to offer.

because the slayer ¹  should have stayed in his town of refuge until the death of the high priest. But after the death of the high priest, the slayer may return to the land of his possessions.

“‘As for the priest who presents someone’s burnt offering, the hide of that burnt offering which he presented belongs to him.
