and to bring silver and gold which the king and his advisers have freely contributed to the God of Israel, who resides in Jerusalem,

When the time appointed by the king arrived, ¹  the overseer of the court officials brought them into Nebuchadnezzar’s presence.

So then, if you bring your gift to the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you,

“Brother ¹  will hand over brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rise against ²  parents and have them put to death.

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, ¹  so that the Father may be glorified ²  in the Son.

Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive it, ¹  so that your joy may be complete.

which I was doing when they found me in the temple, ritually purified, ¹  without a crowd or a disturbance. ² 

“No, please take them,” Jacob said. ¹  “If I have found favor in your sight, accept ²  my gift from my hand. Now that I have seen your face and you have accepted me, ³  it is as if I have seen the face of God. ⁴ 

Every firstling ¹  of a donkey you must redeem ²  with a lamb, and if you do not redeem it, then you must break its neck. ³  Every firstborn of ⁴  your sons you must redeem.

When they enter ¹  the tent of meeting, they must wash with ²  water so that they do not die. ³  Also, when they approach ⁴  the altar to minister by burning incense ⁵  as an offering made by fire ⁶  to the Lord,

Now the firstling ¹  of a donkey you may redeem with a lamb, but if you do not redeem it, then break its neck. ²  You must redeem all the firstborn of your sons. “No one will appear before me empty-handed. ³ 

Everyone making an offering of silver or bronze brought it as ¹  an offering to the Lord, and everyone who had acacia wood ²  for any work of the service brought it. ³ 

Then the one presenting the offering ¹  must slaughter the bull ²  before the Lord, and the sons of Aaron, the priests, must present the blood and splash ³  the blood against the sides of the altar which is at the entrance of the Meeting Tent.

Finally, the one presenting the offering ¹  must wash its entrails and its legs in water and the priest must offer all of it up in smoke on the altar ²  – it is ³  a burnt offering, a gift ⁴  of a soothing aroma to the Lord.

Next, the one presenting the offering ¹  must cut it into parts, with its head and its suet, and the priest must arrange them on the wood which is in the fire, on the altar.

Then the one presenting the offering must wash the entrails and the legs in water, and the priest must present all of it and offer it up in smoke on the altar – it is a burnt offering, a gift of a soothing aroma to the Lord.

Then the one presenting the offering ¹  must present a gift to the Lord from the peace offering sacrifice: He must remove the fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that surrounds the entrails, ² 

Then Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them and descended from making the sin offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offering.

And you will bear no sin concerning it when you offer up the best of it. And you must not profane the holy things of the Israelites, or else you will die.’” ¹ 

“Command the Israelites: ¹  ‘With regard to my offering, ²  be sure to offer ³  my food for my offering made by fire, as a pleasing aroma to me at its appointed time.’ ⁴
