They worship me in vain, teaching as doctrine the commandments of men.’ ¹ 

So then, if ¹  you will worship ²  me, all this will be ³  yours.”

Now some Greeks ¹  were among those who had gone up to worship at the feast.

saying, “This man is persuading ¹  people to worship God in a way contrary to ²  the law!”

Now the first covenant, ¹  in fact, had regulations for worship and its earthly sanctuary.

And both the tabernacle and all the utensils of worship he likewise sprinkled with blood.

For as I went around and observed closely your objects of worship, ¹  I even found an altar with this inscription: ²  ‘To an unknown god.’ Therefore what you worship without knowing it, ³  this I proclaim to you.

For you must not worship ¹  any other god, ²  for the Lord, whose name ³  is Jealous, is a jealous God.

There you will worship gods made by human hands – wood and stone that can neither see, hear, eat, nor smell.

However, if you ¹  turn aside and do not obey, but are lured away to worship and serve other gods,

The people responded, “Far be it from us to abandon the Lord so we can ¹  worship ²  other gods!

You must never forget the agreement I made with you, and you must not worship other gods.

Instead you must worship the Lord your God; then he will rescue you from the power of all your enemies.”

Zadok the priest and his fellow priests served ¹  before the Lord’s tabernacle at the worship center ²  in Gibeon,

Solomon left the meeting tent at the worship center in Gibeon and went to Jerusalem, where he reigned over Israel. ¹ 

Let all the people of the earth acknowledge the Lord and turn to him! ¹  Let all the nations ²  worship you! ³ 

All the nations, whom you created, will come and worship you, ¹  O Lord. They will honor your name.

Come! Let’s bow down and worship! ¹  Let’s kneel before the Lord, our creator!

All who worship idols are ashamed, those who boast about worthless idols. All the gods bow down before him. ¹ 

Praise ¹  the Lord our God! Worship on his holy hill, for the Lord our God is holy!
