that you were at that time without the Messiah, ¹  alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, ²  having no hope and without God in the world.

These men are ¹  dangerous reefs ²  at your love feasts, ³  feasting without reverence, ⁴  feeding only themselves. ⁵  They are ⁶  waterless ⁷  clouds, carried along by the winds; autumn trees without fruit ⁸  – twice dead, ⁹  uprooted;

Jesus spoke all these things in parables to the crowds; he did not speak to them without a parable.

He did not speak to them without a parable. But privately he explained everything to his own disciples.

Now this happened ¹  to fulfill the word that is written in their law, ‘They hated me without reason.’ ² 

Therefore when you sent for me, ¹  I came without any objection. Now may I ask why ²  you sent for me?”

And now, ¹  compelled ²  by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem ³  without knowing what will happen to me there, ⁴ 

which I was doing when they found me in the temple, ritually purified, ¹  without a crowd or a disturbance. ² 

For it seems unreasonable to me to send a prisoner without clearly indicating ¹  the charges against him.”

proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ ¹  with complete boldness ²  and without restriction. ³ 

To the present hour we are hungry and thirsty, poorly clothed, brutally treated, and without a roof over our heads.

For the one who eats and drinks without careful regard ¹  for the body eats and drinks judgment against himself.

For you know yourselves how you must imitate us, because we did not behave without discipline ¹  among you,

So I want the men ¹  to pray ²  in every place, lifting up holy hands ³  without anger or dispute.

He must manage his own household well and keep his children in control without losing his dignity. ¹ 

When ¹  he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were bewildered and helpless, ²  like sheep without a shepherd.

And so they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own house.”

When it was about nine o’clock in the morning, ¹  he went out again and saw others standing around in the marketplace without work.

And he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ But he had nothing to say. ¹ 

“Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and father children ¹  for his brother.’ ²
