Paul ¹  lived ²  there two whole years in his own rented quarters ³  and welcomed ⁴  all who came to him,

Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know that a little yeast ¹  affects ²  the whole batch of dough?

For the whole law can be summed up in a single commandment, ¹  namely, “You must love your neighbor as yourself.” ² 

The ¹  whole imperial guard ²  and everyone else knows ³  that I am in prison ⁴  for the sake of Christ,

who must be silenced because they mislead whole families by teaching for dishonest gain what ought not to be taught.

For the one who obeys the whole law but fails ¹  in one point has become guilty of all of it. ² 

We know that we are from God, ¹  and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

“The eye is the lamp of the body. If then your eye is healthy, ¹  your whole body will be full of light.

But if your eye is diseased, ¹  your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

And such a large crowd gathered around him that he got into a boat to sit while ¹  the whole crowd stood on the shore.

For what does it benefit a person ¹  if he gains the whole world but forfeits his life? Or what can a person give in exchange for his life?

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole inhabited earth as a testimony to all the nations, ¹  and then the end will come.

I tell you the truth, ¹  wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.”

The ¹  chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were trying to find false testimony against Jesus so that they could put him to death.

Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the governor’s residence ¹  and gathered the whole cohort ²  around him.

Then the woman, with fear and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before him and told him the whole truth.

They ran through that whole region and began to bring the sick on mats to wherever he was rumored to be. ¹ 

I tell you the truth, ¹  wherever the gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.”

The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death, but they did not find anything.

So ¹  the soldiers led him into the palace (that is, the governor’s residence) ²  and called together the whole cohort. ³
