Listen to the painful cries of the prisoners! ¹  Use your great strength to set free those condemned to die! ² 

All day long my enemies taunt me; those who mock me use my name in their curses. ¹ 

Of what ¹  use is money in the hand of a fool, ²  since he has no intention ³  of acquiring wisdom? ⁴ 

Death and life are in the power ¹  of the tongue, ²  and those who love its use ³  will eat its fruit.

You must use just balances, ¹  a just dry measure (an ephah), ²  and a just liquid measure (a bath). ³

For by the standard you judge you will be judged, and the measure you use will be the measure you receive. ¹ 

But Jesus called them and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in high positions use their authority over them.

And he said to them, “Take care about what you hear. The measure you use will be the measure you receive, ¹  and more will be added to you.

He also asked, “To what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable can we use to present it?

And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by how you use worldly wealth, ¹  so that when it runs out you will be welcomed ²  into the eternal homes. ³
