Pilate said to them, “Take ¹  a guard of soldiers. Go and make it as secure as you can.”

And a voice came from heaven: “You are my one dear Son; ¹  in you I take great delight.” ² 

Now ¹  they had forgotten to take bread, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat.

The one on the roof ¹  must not come down or go inside to take anything out of his house. ² 

I tell you the truth, ¹  this generation ²  will not pass away until all these things take place.

Then ¹  they crucified ²  him and divided his clothes, throwing dice ³  for them, to decide what each would take.

“Take these words to heart, ¹  for the Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men.” ² 

And he said to his attendants, ¹  ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to the one who has ten.’ ² 

I tell you the truth, ¹  this generation ²  will not pass away until all these things take place.

Then ¹  he took a cup, ²  and after giving thanks he said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves.

“Father, if you are willing, take ¹  this cup ²  away from me. Yet not my will but yours ³  be done.”

Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the head steward,” ¹  and they did.

And take the helmet of salvation ¹  and the sword ²  of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

For we have brought nothing into this world and so ¹  we cannot take a single thing out either.

And let us take thought of how to spur one another on to love and good works, ¹ 

But my righteous one will live by faith, and if he shrinks back, I ¹  take no pleasure in him. ² 

And you know that Jesus ¹  was revealed to take away ²  sins, and in him there is no sin.

I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have so that no one can take away ¹  your crown. ² 

saying, “Get up, take the child and his mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who were seeking the child’s life are dead.”

But I say to you, do not take oaths at all – not by heaven, because it is the throne of God,
