“But when you see the abomination of desolation ¹  standing where it should not be (let the reader understand), then those in Judea must flee ²  to the mountains.

Now ¹  Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, ²  and the crowd was pressing around him ³  to hear the word of God.

But I tell you most certainly, ¹  there are some standing here who will not ²  experience ³  death before they see the kingdom of God.” ⁴ 

Now Peter and those with him were quite sleepy, ¹  but as they became fully awake, ²  they saw his glory and the two men standing with him.

They replied, ¹  “Jesus the Nazarene.” He told them, “I am he.” (Now Judas, the one who betrayed him, was standing there with them.) ² 

Now standing beside Jesus’ cross were his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. ¹ 

So when Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, “Woman, ¹  look, here is your son!”

When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, ¹  but she did not know that it was Jesus.

“We found the jail locked securely and the guards standing at the doors, but when we opened them, ¹  we found no one inside.”

But someone came and reported to them, “Look! The men you put in prison are standing in the temple courts ¹  and teaching ²  the people!”

But the Lord said to him, ‘Take the sandals off your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground. ¹ 

But Stephen, ¹  full ²  of the Holy Spirit, looked intently ³  toward heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing ⁴  at the right hand of God.

He informed us how he had seen an angel standing in his house and saying, ‘Send to Joppa and summon Simon, who is called Peter,

A ¹  vision appeared to Paul during the night: A Macedonian man was standing there ²  urging him, ³  “Come over ⁴  to Macedonia ⁵  and help us!”

And when the blood of your witness ¹  Stephen was shed, ²  I myself was standing nearby, approving, ³  and guarding the cloaks ⁴  of those who were killing him.’ ⁵ 

For those who have served well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves ¹  and great boldness in the faith that is in Christ Jesus. ² 

The Holy Spirit is making clear that the way into the holy place had not yet appeared as long as the old tabernacle ¹  was standing.

“Whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, because they love to pray while standing in synagogues ¹  and on street corners so that people can see them. Truly I say to you, they have their reward.

And he said to them, “I tell you the truth, ¹  there are some standing here who will not ²  experience ³  death before they see the kingdom of God come with power.” ⁴ 

Now when they heard this, they began to drift away one at a time, starting with the older ones, ¹  until Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him.
