so that they might keep his commands and obey ¹  his laws. Praise the Lord!

They grumbled in their tents; ¹  they did not obey ²  the Lord.

I am determined to obey ¹  your statutes at all times, to the very end.

I hope for your deliverance, O Lord, and I obey ¹  your commands.

May your hand help me, for I choose to obey ¹  your precepts.

For ¹  I did not obey my teachers ²  and I did not heed ³  my instructors. ⁴ 

They went on to Egypt ¹  because they refused to obey the Lord, and came to Tahpanhes. ² 

I will angrily seek vengeance on the nations that do not obey me.” ¹ 

But he replied, ¹  “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey ²  it!”

But Peter and the apostles replied, ¹  “We must obey ²  God rather than people. ³ 

You ¹  received the law by decrees given by angels, ²  but you did not obey ³  it.” ⁴ 

Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its desires,

Children, ¹  obey your parents in the Lord ²  for this is right.

Obey ¹  with enthusiasm, as though serving the Lord ²  and not people,

Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing in the Lord.

to obey ¹  this command ²  without fault or failure until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ

But carefully obey the commands and instructions Moses the Lord’s servant gave you. Love ¹  the Lord your God, follow all his instructions, ²  obey ³  his commands, be loyal to him, ⁴  and serve him with all your heart and being!” ⁵ 

This happened because they did not obey ¹  the Lord their God and broke his agreement with them. ²  They did not pay attention to and obey all that Moses, the Lord’s servant, had commanded. ³ 

I will not make Israel again leave the land I gave to their ancestors, ¹  provided that they carefully obey all I commanded them, the whole law my servant Moses ordered them to obey.”

So the Lord said to Moses, “How long do you refuse ¹  to obey my commandments and my instructions?
